Yoga & Meditation | Slow Flow & Yin Yoga | Wish Fulfilling Jewel
Join us to celebrate the approaching end of winter and revisit intentions made at the beginning of the year!
At our last mini retreat (on December 31st, 2022), all 22 of us tied seven knots into a red string that we then tied onto each other's wrists during our closing circle. Red string bracelets are traditional in Buddhism, Christianity and Kabbalah (esoteric Jewish mysticism). Each knot corresponded with a question:
We'll revisit these questions and other intentions we may have made at the start of the year. We'll also explore the Buddhist theme: The Wish Fulfilling Jewel.
"Virtue is like the legendary jewel that fulfills all our wishes. By meditating on and practicing the virtues of wisdom and compassion, we make our lives meaningful, happy and successful."
-Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
